Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist

“Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf”

GaWaNi Pony Boy

Therapy is an investment in the hope that change CAN and WILL occur. I have an attitude of benevolent curiosity and try to instill that in my clients. I believe it is more useful to be curious than critical in our search to understand ourselves and others. I combine traditional and innovative methods to help people explore and uncover their own strength and resiliency.

Psychotherapy

There are many ways to access therapy during the Covid pandemic. Teletherapy is being reimbursed by major insurance companies. If you are uncomfortable meeting one-on-one in my office, we can meet via Zoom, FaceTime, or by phone. Learn more about appointments at Contact.

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy [EAP]

I love animals and am passionate about horses. I’ve learned that developing a relationship with a horse provides a unique opportunity for exploring personal insights. For those who are inclined, I use horses as a partner in psychotherapy. Learn more about my journey with horses at EAP.

Trauma

I worked as a 9-1-1 operator and am profoundly aware of trauma’s effects on our lives. I employ a variety of approaches for dealing with trauma, as well as depression, anxiety, and other life struggles. I have found that Eye Movement Desensititization Reprocessing (EMDR) is highly effective. Learn more about my counseling practice at About.

About Me
